SALES EXECUTIVE, Publication/Media

COCOLILY Magazine, a division of em09 Media Group Inc. has an immediate full time opening for an experienced Sales Executive for the GTA, Hamilton & Niagara region.
This position will report directly to the Managing Director.

A media company which publishes COCOLILY magazine and produces boutique consumer events on a yearly basis such as The Original Wedding Soiree and the COCOLILY Social.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work with a team of integrated sales executives to generate incremental revenue from new accounts for the publication and consumer show of COCOLILY Social; selling ad space + vendor space
  • Drive initiatives through continuous sales calls either via email, telephone or set meeting times with client in-person at their office
  • Attending internal sales team meetings monthly and producing a weekly sales report
  • Meet or exceed assigned team monthly budgets and quarterly performance objectives
  • Liaise with the event advertising sales team in other COCOLILY markets and work closely with sales professionals in the integrated advertising division

 Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of sales experience with effective communications skills, highly developed written presentation and active listening skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills and a proven track record with clients
  • Superior presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence and negotiate
  • A proven track record in sales including the development of new business opportunities
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for a fast-paced professional environment
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Insightly
  • Knowledge of the publication and/or event industry is essential to this role

Base salary after three month probation period plus commission with bonus based on experience. Earnings are unlimited as commission is paid with every new client trading. Commission per contract can vary from $50 to $500; depending on the client and advertising package transaction. Work hours are flexible and tend to be days and/or evenings, working from home/virtual office, five days a week, however you may find that your clients will meet you at other times as well, you will decide as you set your own schedule.
