Her Story : Josephine: a Creative Life blog

Josephine: a Creative Life blog was something I started the week before our first baby was born; it developed out of the creativity and struggles that come from becoming a new parent. On the blog I document the everyday elements of motherhood, home décor, baking/cooking and sometimes fashion. The blog name came from one of my all-time-favourite literary heroines, Josephine March of Louisa May Alcott’s novel Little Women. Josephine, or Jo March, is a creative, caring, ambitious, thoughtful, unconventional, imaginative and loving woman who finds creativity in every corner of her life and shares these creative ideas with her sisters.

The biggest challenge that I faced over the past six years was to keep going even after a major health setback. Part of the challenge was to find my voice again after a long period of silence, even if that voice sounded a little different this time around. The most beautiful business moments for me have been the connections I’ve made with other entrepreneurs, I’ve been lucky enough to meet some incredible women who have inspired me so much along the way.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION.

Don't overthink it.

The advice I would give to other female entrepreneurs, especially to moms wanting to start their own business, is that you just have to do it. Don’t overthink it just start where you are at and keep going. You will find your voice along the way.
