Digital and social media advertising is at the forefront of all marketers but there is a big wave of old-school ideas that are coming back.  What once was old, is new again and being embraced. I am constantly telling clients and friends in business, to not only focus on one type of advertising ie. Instagram.

There are so many other options and remember, you need to reach your customer a few times and in various ways before getting remembered. Marketing isn’t necessarily getting instant sales and new business right away, it’s about getting your brand noticed and remembered.

I have put together a few ideas that you can integrate into your current digital strategy, potentially reaching more eyes aka customers, clients and consumers.

1/ Direct Mail.

This has remained popular and effective in a lot of industries because it works. Social media has become overly saturated so make yourself stand out with a beautiful piece that consumers will love getting (not just their bills). Visit The House/COCOLILY Design Agency to assist in creating a piece for you with printing or you can also visit the SHOP for our Postcard Collection.

2/ Written Content.

Based on Google’s algorithms, quality written content is more important now than ever.  Add weekly blog posts to your website with content that is ideal for your customer.

3/ Authentic Relationships.

Nothing can replace authentic relationships with your customers and collaborating with like-minded individuals. This is the best way to build valuable relationships and grow your business. I truly believe in this one and that’s why I run frequently virtual events for female entrepreneurs - allowing for authentic connections and collaborations such as The Breakfast Club and Lady Boss Social.

4/ Loyalty Cards.

Creating loyalty cards is definitely an old-school marketing tactic but that works. These cards, stamped with each use, can offer a discount or a free item after a certain number of visits are made, services booked or dollar amount is spent. It’s a great way to get customers to keep coming back, shopping or booking with you. Our Biz In a Box all include a loyalty card design and printing.

5/ Branded Items.

Have your customers and past clients promote your brand for free with branded merchandise or apparel. This is a great way to increase brand recognition. Items can include tote or market bags for retail, apparel for hospitality and service brands, tumblers for a winery and of course the classic journal with pen for any business.
