Her Story : Elle Cuisine
There was no definitive moment when I decided this was my “dream” or that what Elle Cuisine is today was what I wanted to create and build 10 years ago. I was 23, a recent graduate of McGill, and a culinary student at George Brown in the Culinary Management Program. I wanted to challenge myself beyond the curriculum and there was something really special about cooking for others that I was drawn to. I created a website (back in the times of HTML) and booked my first client (before SEO was a thing) within a month.
I worked as a private chef, catering to clients with the aim to “bring the restaurant experience into the comfort of home”. As soon as I started with private event catering, I knew it was the right fit for me – I was addicted and that was enough for me to commit to making it a substantial career choice.
Elle Cuisine stands for “eat, love, live, enjoy.” It’s the adage we live and work by. Whether it’s an intimate dinner with friends and family, a corporate affair, or celebration, living and loving life is inseparable from the enjoyment of food. We hope to inspires this same feeling in every guest we cook for.
