Things To Do To Celebrate Women's Day in Toronto

As International Women's Day approaches on March 8th, the air is buzzing with excitement and anticipation. It's a day to honor the incredible achievements of women worldwide, celebrate each other’s strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit. Here are 5 fun ways I recommend toasting the day while supporting a few women owned small businesses in Toronto.
ELEVATE YOUR SPACE.
Changing the look of any space can be tricky and can be quite time consuming but The Wall Snob’s prints have made it enjoyable to play around and add art in various rooms. It has been easy to bring in some character that reflects my personality into spaces. These original and fun prints elevate any space by adding depth, and interest to a room. My personal favorites are the “Oysters and Champagne are my Therapy” and “Caviar Bumps For My Day Ones” prints.

GIVE THE GIFT OF WELLNESS.
I have always loved gifting candles. It can easily transform one’s mood and is a gift that encourages self-care and well-being. Zivai’s soy-based crystal candles are my most recent discovery! SNACK TIME.
I didn’t have much of a sweet tooth but when I discovered Honey’s Ice Cream a couple years ago, I never looked back and have been hooked. They have a line of premium plant-based ice cream pints with over 20 flavors that are truly delicious. In the warmer months, Rocky Road is a staple in my fridge and it has house-made marshmallow fluff. Supernatural Chocolate is my second go-to. It’s naturally sweetened by coconut sugar. I’m now craving them as I make this list….
Honey’s Ice Cream is conveniently located at College and Dufferin and is female led. They also have other yummy items like ice cream sandwiches and bars.
ATTEND AN EVENT.
Round up the girls and attend City Hall’s International Women’s Day Celebration. This year’s global theme is “Inspire Inclusion”; featuring accomplished women from diverse backgrounds, shattering stereotypes, inspiring women to unearth their potential, chase their dreams, and fosters a nurturing community for genuine learning and connection with inspirational women worldwide. There will be numerous speakers, networking opportunities and more. It is a free event from 5pm-9pm.
