Her Story : Treasa Leigh Brown

I started my business because I noticed a significant under representation in my community when it came to having people that look like me producing events. I wanted to fill that void. I felt as if there was a disconnect in the community and I had the potential to repair it by offering a caliber of events the community had yet to experience.

As Leigh Event Group progressed, I began to get a lot of inquiries from aspiring entrepreneurs about how I managed to start and maintain my business. I realized at that point that I’d accumulated enough experience and knowledge about building a business that I could offer in-depth mentoring to all of the entrepreneurs and business owners in the making. This cognizance resulted in the development of my mentorship services that I can proudly say have helped a number of businesses thrive.

I chose Leigh Event Group as my company name because of the meaning behind Leigh. Before launching my first business, I made sure that I chose a name that would be a representation of who I am and why I’ve chosen this path. Leigh is my middle name and means love. Leading with love in all of my endeavours has been at the forefront for all of my decisions so it felt right to name my first business after myself.
