Her Story : Wicked Soaps Co.

I founded Wicked Soaps Co. in 2009, after my love of creating turned into a soap-making habit and then into a small side hustle when I had more soap than my friends and family could reasonably use and a friend recommended I sell them on Etsy. (Fun fact -- the name Wicked Soaps came from my original desire to create a fairytale inspired soap line).

On this journey, the biggest challenge I’ve faced is myself. Whether it’s imposter syndrome and thinking my work and brand isn’t up to par with others or fear of taking risks, I’ve had to overcome my own self-doubt to grow Wicked Soaps Co. as a business and take it to the next level. It paid off in 2020, when I finally took the leap and quit my day job to focus on Wicked Soaps Co. full time.

It was liberating and terrifying and thrilling and I haven’t regretted my decision once. I’m doing what I love and thriving, is there anything more beautiful than that? The first step toward success is believing in yourself.

Words of Inspiration.

Believe in yourself.

My advice to other female entrepreneurs is take the leap. Believe in yourself, your brand, your own abilities and go for it. You got this, girl.
