February Love List

February mornings feel like a café in Paris with a petite bouquet and a warm pastry on the table.
— COCOLILY & CO.

We have put together a few ideas for celebrating the month of February and yourself.

Our February Love List.

  • Mail a pretty postcard or Valentine’s Day card to a friend.

  • Wear your favorite lipstick at your desk, just because.

  • Pick up a bouquet from your local floral shop, even one rose is enough.

  • Watch a classic film that inspires elegance. (My Fair Lady, Audrey Hepburn… one of our favorites).

  • Indulge in a pastry that reminds you of a Paris morning.

  • Gift yourself a little joy with a DIY Joy Jar, ideas for small celebrations, little prompts that turn ordinary days into something special.

  • Try a beginner dance lesson at home. Ballet is on our list…a reason to buy blush pink leg warmers.

  • Light a candle while you work…coming soon to our Petite Collection, a pretty candle that smells like you walked into a flower shop that is attached to a bakery.

  • Make a playlist that makes you smile and press play while you do the laundry.

  • Spend an entire evening offline.

  • Fill a bowl with strawberries and mini chocolates.

  • Open a window on a cold day and let the fresh air in.

  • Treat yourself to a new magazine….print is a petite luxury we love.

  • Carry a pretty mini notebook everywhere and write down your daydreams, ideas or words that inspire you.

  • Make fresh pasta while listening to an Italian playlist.

  • Pour yourself a little something in a pink bow glass because even a drink deserves to feel special.

Recipes We Are Loving This Month.

  • A pot of Roasted Tomato Soup with Crispy Gruyère Toasts by Lindsey Eats.

  • Fresh bread with homemade honey butter by The Bojon Gourmet.

  • Pasta made with your hands (recipe below).

  • A cup of Parisian Hot Chocolate by Bellie’s Kitchen.

Homemade Pasta by Hand (like our grandma used to make)

What You Need. (serves 2–3)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus extra for dusting

  • 1 large egg

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil (optional)

How To Make It.

  1. Make a well in the flour on a clean surface or in a bowl. Crack the egg into the center, add the salt and olive oil.

  2. Mix slowly with a fork or your fingers, drawing flour in from the edges until it forms a shaggy dough.

  3. Knead the dough for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Sprinkle with a little flour if it’s sticky.

  4. Wrap and rest the dough in plastic wrap or a clean towel for at least 20 minutes.

  5. Roll it out by hand using a rolling pin, dusting lightly with flour, until it’s thin enough to see your hand through it.

  6. Cut your pasta into tagliatelle, fettuccine, or any shape you like. Dust with flour so it doesn’t stick.

  7. Cook in boiling salted water for 2–4 minutes depending on thickness. Fresh pasta cooks quickly!

  8. Serve simply — a drizzle of olive oil, a little grated cheese, or your favorite sauce.

Petite Joy: Rolling and cutting pasta by hand feels beautiful and rustic. In the background, play classic Italian music and imagine you are in Florence.
