The day my daughter was born, my world changed in an instant. As I held her for the first time, I learned she was missing her left hand. Alongside overwhelming love came fear and a deep sense of responsibility. I promised myself she would grow up knowing she was complete, confident, and celebrated exactly as she is.

That promise quietly became the direction for everything that followed.

Motherhood already asks so much. Raising three children under four while trying to build something of my own often felt impossible. Days blurred between sleepless nights, work calls, and the constant pull between family and ambition. Yet within that chaos came clarity. I began thinking deeply about the messages children receive about belonging and identity, and how rarely differences are reflected in the products and brands created for families.

I couldn’t stop asking one question. What if a brand could do more than sell something? What if it could help children feel seen?

That question became the beginning of Original Co.

Building a business from such a personal place has been both challenging and deeply meaningful. Behind every launch are late nights, uncertainty, and moments of doubt. Entrepreneurship often looks polished from the outside, but in reality it is built through persistence, learning, and continuing forward even when the path feels unclear.

What keeps me going is simple. My daughter deserves to grow up in a world where representation exists naturally, not as an exception. I want children and families to recognize themselves in what we create and to feel a sense of belonging when they do.

This journey has never been only about building a company. It is about contributing to a larger shift toward inclusion, confidence, and community. Some days I am still figuring things out as I go, but perhaps that is the most honest part of entrepreneurship.

I am not building this brand because I have all the answers. I am building it from love, resilience, and hope for a future where every child knows they are enough.

Original Co. was born from that belief. Not simply to sell, but to help shape a kinder, more inclusive world for the next generation.
