Little Bugs & Me was born from a need I experienced myself. I struggled to find quality clothing that fit well and lasted beyond a single season.
After the birth of our third child, my style had changed as well. Around that time, I discovered the technique of shirring, featured in many of my designs today. I loved that a dress with shirring could adapt to my changing body while helping me feel beautiful exactly as I was.
I knew I was not alone in those struggles, and Little Bugs & Me was created from that realization. Our oldest daughter has always been known as Little Bugs, and because every piece is first worn and tested by my children and me, including her in the name felt natural.
I love creating the pieces I want to see in my own wardrobe and in my children's closets. I am passionate about natural fabrics and designing clothing that can be worn through many seasons of life. Most of all, I love encouraging women who have experienced the same frustrations I once had. I want them to feel beautiful in the body they have right now.
One of the most rewarding parts of building this business has been meeting customers in person. Markets have given me the opportunity to share my story, connect with women, and watch customers become part of a wonderful community. Along the way, I have learned that not every opportunity will be the right fit, and that is perfectly okay. I am grateful for the women who continue to support this dream and for the friendships that have grown from it.
My hope is that every piece from Little Bugs & Me helps women feel comfortable, confident, and ready for whatever season of life comes next.
